Notes:
Very common in shrubland and along trackside leading up to Lighthouse. Specimen corresponds to the typical form of kahikatoa around "East Cape". In growth habit forming a tall spindly "tree" up to 8 m tall, leaves shorter than the Auckland form and longer than L. scoparium s.s. without such a distinctively pungent tip, and not nearly as hairy as northern forms of L. scoparium. This a very distinctive form of L. scoparium which is sympatric with L. aff. scoparium (a) "Auckland Form" around Torere and with L. scoparium s.s. at Otoko.
