Notes:
Common on bare damp sand and low Glossostigma/Myriophyllum turf left by receeding lake levels. Plants minute, decumbent, stems filiform, white or pinkish, leaves linear to oblanceolate, apex obtuse, rounded often apiculate, apiculus minute; flowers pedicellate, 4-merous, corolla lobes pinkish-white to white with a prominent basal dark pink blotch; fruits on decurved pedicels these elongating as fruit matures; follicles smooth, spreading to strongly recurved; seeds 1 per carpel, 0.6-0.7 mm long, surface smooth (rarely with faint longitudinal ridges), glossy. Not seen at this lake when Peter de Lange & Jeremy Rolfe visited it in October 2009.
