Along overgrown track through open stand of old pine trees. Possibly introduced to this area by forestry machinary imported from Japan or north-western USA. "Stigmas 3; utricles green, white below, broad striped ridges, no beak; glume much smaller than utricle, no awn; leaves double folded" EK Cameron.
