Specimen notes
Supplementary remarks:
Vine. Young shoots angled. Leaves with caducous stipules; lamina puberulent above (hairs minute and rather scattered.) Bracts 4-4.3 cm long, purple-flushed distally. Hypanthium glabrous, c. 9 cm long with well-defined basal nectary chamber c. 1.5 cm across. Perianth deep pink with brownish tinge on reverse of outer segments, these c. 4.7 cm long with subapical mucro; inner segments c. 4.5 cm long. Corona rim with purple base and white teeth. Stigmas oblique, pale green slightly shorter than perianth segments.
