Locally common in the more open parts of a dense pohutukawa (Metrosideros excelsa) - karaka (Corynocarpus laevigatus) -houpara (Pseudopanax aff. lessonii) forest remnant. All trees seen in full flower. Flowers distinctly apricot scented.
