Strigose hairy in all parts except leaf blades which are only v. minutely so mainly on back of ribs & edges. Stems & petioles: Blade 2 x 1 approx = 2" x4". basal ribs all entering at base of leaf others coming off midrib at narrower angles.Bluntly serrate with blunt apiculms, 4 stipules form collar under 1st row of flowers. Calyx narrow linear, deeply cut almost to base. Corolla - white on upper surface, with many close set lemon-yellow hairs at throat app the stamens etc. Underside of flowers lobes faintly buffed with pinkish mauve. (tube) under surface faintly yellowish. Most whorls have 5-6 but in mative state they have up to 10.
