Notes:
Dominant tree on calcareous/siltstone cliff face adjacent road. Young trees 8-11 m tall. The typical, small-leaved eastern form of this taxon (this form also common in south eastern South Island). Branches often arching, especially when in flower. Branchlet hairs antrorse, more or less appressed, through some patent and curled. Flower with (29-)35(-38) stamens.
