Notes:
Pieces from a single 2m tall shrub frowing in a highly fragmented, swamp forest remnant located near an oxbow. Specimen growing amongst Cyperus ustulatus, Calystegia sepium subsp. roseata and Cordyline australis. Mature foliage adaxially yellow-green to dark green, abaxial surface dark maroon fading with age dark green maroon, young leaves and buds maroon. Inflorescences erect, flowers prior to anthesis dark mauve changing to white on anthesis.
