Habitat:
Clearing in Nothofagus menziesii forest on alluvial flat near river. Among shrubs Coprosma ciliata, Hebe odora.
Notes:
Only one female hybrid plant seen. Sap clear. Female plant 110cm diameter, one rosette, one spike. Spike 1480mm tall. Stem 260mm long, 27mm diameter, green with pale brown stripes. Head 1220mm long, 460mm diameter. No sterile bracts at base. Largest bract at base of head 430mm long.
