Habitat:
Steep bank below road - waste area. Near edge of Pinus radiata plantation, among Canna, Zantedeschia 'Green Goddess' and Tradescantia fluminensis, Senecio angulatus.
Notes:
Plant ID Register: 2001/220. Two 1m shrubs. Leaves mostly whorled in 4s, petioles purplish, lamina glossy above and below, veins impressed above. Flowers solitary in leaf axils, ovary warty, sepals coriaceous and scarlet, petals scarlet, pollen white. A garden discard.
