Vine. Stipules broad. Hypanthium c. 8.5cm long, green or green flushed dark red. Sepals 3-3.3cm long, including mucro, pink inside, green outside. Petals slightly < sepals rose. Corona purple with white processes. Stigmas widely divergent, green. Growing over coastal broadleaved scrub - boxthorn, ngaio, and Melicytus ramiflorus.
