Supplementary remarks:
There is no such place as "Waima Range" (Tony Druce got clobbered for saying there is when he named Coprosma waima) and "Waima" is a small settlement located between Rawene and Kaikohe (Hokianga). However, the mountain range that lies along the south side of the Hokianga and which is the type locality of Coprosma waima, Ackama nubicola, Hebe flavida, Hebe perbella and Olearia crebra is often incorrectly called the "Waima Range". It seems there is no agreed name for this area as far as iwi are concerned. In agreement with Te Roroa and Hokianga Nga Puhi the best name (currently) to use for this area is "Waima Forest".
