On rocky rubble on steep slopes of old quarry walls.
Notes:
Naturalised over an area 20 x 20m. Plants upto 1m high, flowers yellow, with red mark on back of outer petals. Flowers 6-7cm diam. Ovary/fruit obovate; tapered toward base.
