Habitat:
Dry low scrub-covered hillside above lake.
Notes:
Low widespreading shrub 20-25cm high with tough orange stems, deciduous, very spiny. Flowers with ± brick red standard, not opening widely. Wings outside ± red or orange veined, otherwise yellow; keel yellow. Very common.
