Chromosome voucher 2n = 32. Example of the distinctive Chatham Island form of Phormium. Leaves olive green, margins dark orange, keel orange-red, upper third of leaf floppy. Seed set very poor in cultivation (is this taxon pollinator dependent?) Capsules black from onset of seed development.
