Grassy side of ancient earthworks. Plant with inflor. c.1m high (presumably biennial) arising from large basal rosette of leaves. Leaves white tomentose at first, becoming floccose and ± green, eventually glabrous above. Inflor. much-branched with central stem little longer than uppermost lateral branches. Bracts, pedicels, and calyx white-floccose. Corolla yellow, c.2cm across; lobes c.1cm long, broadly obovate or oblong-obovate. Filaments white-bearded; anthers deep orange. Sheets A to C.
