Habitat:
North slope, on small ridge, in mixed scrub of herbs and shrubs, modified with adventives.
Notes:
Spreading shrub with long stems at mainly oblique angles, rising to c.1 m high. Leaves grey-green. Flower buds bristly hirsute, whitish-green. 2 or 3 bushes; not known elsewhere in Rarotonga or the other Cook Islands.
