Habitat:
Margins of light bush on well drained soils; along with abundant kopi, hoho, mahoe, karamu, matipo, kawakawa, supplejack, perching and ground ferns and adventive grasses.
Notes:
Many nikaus present; all erect, up to c. 13 m tall, with diameters from 16 to 23.5 dbh. Seedlings abundant under adult trees, and saplings up to 3 - 4 m tall. Most trees support young inflorescences, ripe fruit, or older inflorescences. Several trees support all three. Seedling
