Habitat:
Sphagnum falcatulum + (Schoenus pauciflorus + Carpha alpina) mossfield surrounding tarn.
Notes:
Monocarpic, biennial (small rosettes present but hard to see). This species in flower in bog sites but not on dry ridge sites. No pollinators seen. Most flowers past male phase. Leaves channelled, corolla veins purple, stigmas purple-blue at female phase, anthers dark purple.
