Habitat:
Chionochloa rigida + Aciphylla aff. horrida + Discaria toumatou/Gautheria crassa + Pentachondra pumila + Myrsine nummularia tussock shrubland on hillslope.
Notes:
Sap milky. Leaves yellow-green, glaucous on young leaves. Female plant 98cm diameter, one rosette per plant, rosette 91cm diameter; spike 116cm high, head 81cm long, 21cm wide, stem 38mm diameter yellow-green below, yellow-brown in upper half, six sterile bracts, the largest fertile bract is the lowest. Male plant 90cm diameter, three rosettes, each rosette 60cm diameter; spike 120cm high, head 78cm long, 39cm wide, stem 47mm diameter, red-brown (past flowering). Sheets A to B.
