I have looked again at Ogden 8 [CHR 527246 A-D] and Ogden 22 [CHR 527259 A-D] which both have white flowers. Both have flowers well above the usual size range of C. sepium subsp. sepium (their corolla often over 50mm, stamens often over 25mm). Number 8 has leaves which would be quite typical of subsp. roseata, but it apparently does not have pink flowers, and its bracteoles are fairly large and sometimes overlapping and perhaps suggestive of C. silvatica subsp. disjuncta. Number 22 has different leaves, often with a broad sinus as in C. silvatica, and sometimes rather broad and obtuse bracteoles. It is difficult to be certain, but I suspect that both these collections are hybrids of C. sepium subsp. roseata and C. silvatica subsp. disjuncta. I have so far no clear evidence of subsp. sepium in New Zealand.
