Habitat:
On colluview at base of 3m limestone cliff, on slope above Hautapu River. On forest edge (sparse Sophora godleyi/Coprosma wallii) among Schedonorus phoenix (ungrazed).
Notes:
Plant ID Register: 2001/229. Mostly deciduous - a few reddish leaves just holding. Most leaves of this specimen collected off ground. Stems ± erect, suckering, smooth with sparse blunt 'prickles'. Hard to tell if 3 or 5 foliate. Collected to show deciduous nature.
