Habitat:
Cortaderia fulvida + Olearia arborescens + Phormium tenax + Coprosma pseudocuneata + Olearia colensoi + Hebe stricta + Chionochloa pallens scrub just above treeline on ridge.
Notes:
Rosettes 2/plant, spikes 2/plant. Leaves not glaucous. Spike (female) 1640mm. Stem 770mm long, 50mm diameter, dark yellow above fading to green at base. Head 870mm long, 430mm wide, sterile bracts 1 or none.
