Habitat:
Hebe stricta + Ulex europaens + Coprosma robusta / Libertia + Anthoxanthum odoratum + Trifolium pratense shrubland on roadside cliff.
Notes:
Softer than Aciphylla subflabellata, similar in stiffness to A. glaucescens at Waiau, i.e. semi-rigid. Some bracts have strongly reflexed terminal leaflets. Plants 89cm diameter, 4 rosettes per plant, 3 heads per plant, rosettes 89cm diameter (only one seen, a female). Leaves glaucous. Female spike 830mm, stem 340mm long, 29mm diameter, pale yellow green. Head 490mm long. 110mm wide. 1 or no sterile bracts.
