Artificial pond in valley - growing in c.0.5m of water, beside the overflow outlet of lower pond.
Notes:
Plant ID Register: 2004/101.Forming a robust clump, c.1.5m across at base with stems rising to 1.7m. Stems green (not greyish). Hypogynous bristles with retrorse hairs. Presumed to have been planted here - date and origin unknown. Two clumps of S. californicus, about 3-4m apart - the 2nd is under an overhanging Olearia, while the other is in the open.
