Notes:
Small perennial plant with main stem almost woody at base. Leaves to 9 x 6mm, broad obovate, thick, flattened above, light green, often flushed red (combination of starvation and high light). Shoots, peduncles and pedicels, pink, densely glandular-hairy. Calyx green, glandular hairy. Petals eight, 6.5-7 x 1-1.3cm, more or less oblanceolate, yellow. Stamens sixteen, 3.5-4mm long yellow. Carpels (including styles) less than stamens, yellow. Glands about 0.5mm long, bright orange, bifid with two prominent narrow lobes. Cultivated on patio.
