Notes:
Small rhizomatous shrub with stems 40-50cm high, deciduous. Young shoots and leaf rachises and petioles purplish. Pedicels and calyx purplish-pink. Petals 1.5-1.6cm long (i.e. standard, wings and keel), pinkish-mauve or deep pink (wings); standard more or less oblong; wings more or less narrow oblanceolate. Plant never forms fruit.
