Notes:
Tufted herb with lobes rigid, spine-tipped leaves ? these more or less with lamina of lobes concave above. Inflorescences 30-40cm high. Bracts erect, spine-tipped. Anthers yellowish-green. Corolla becoming reddish. Fairly common.
