Notes:
Liane with thick rope-like stems climbing to top of tree fern 3-4 m high; adventitious roots present. Petiole to 30 inches long. Lamina to 25 x 27 inches, very broadly oblong, fenestrated. Peduncle about 20 cm long, erect, stout. Spathe about 26 x 12 cm, creamy-yellow, thick, opening and forming a deep concave "shell" around spadix, no constricted portion at base. Spadix c. 15 x 3 cm, thickly cylindric, pale greenish, prominently segmented, each segment slightly depressed, 4-5-sided, all segments the same, presumably bisexual. Fruiting spadix (almost mature) to c. 25 x 7 cm, broad cylindric, apex obtuse; fruits c. 2 cm across, ± 4-(5)-sided. Fruit edible and very sweet beneath stigma caps, these separating from base upwards.
