Notes:
Shrub or small tree about 2.5m high. Petiole and lamina midrib (lower side) pink-purple. Leaflets glossy deep green above. Stipules pale green, erect. Flower spikes erect, past anthesis with only carpels remaining, these bright rose at base. Spike from tree in vicinity with flowers white; petals about 3mm long, stamens 1-1.3cm long. Cultivated in garden frontage.
