Notes:
Vines arising from massive subterranean tubers (see slice in one folder here, plus material sent fresh to CHR about 12 January). Vines soft, juicy (but hard to break by hand). Leaves soft pale green. Vines dioecious (two folders male, eight with female). Flowering. Fruit yellow but went scarlet during pressing. Growing with divaricating shrubs. (G. La Cock, DoC Wanganui; C.H. Dorian, DoC Mangaweka). Growing with divaricating shrubs.
