Notes:
Large tree c. 20 m high. Trunk stout, smooth and shining. Inflorescence a very large diffuse panicle, pale brownish, scurfy. Corolla patent, c. 8 mm across, lobes c. 3 mm long, ovate, undulate; tube almost absent. Probably a relic of cultivation.
