Notes:
Open shrub 2.5-3 m high with a few main branches, thorns only on these and sparse usually. Flowers in erect panicles, uniformly yellow. The yellow form seems to be commonest on Rarotonga now. Corolla with 4 main petals c. 2.2 x 1.5 cm, with very broad and undulating limb, small fifth petal c. 1.8 x 0.6 cm including claw c. 1.2 cm long. Stamens to 7 cm long. Pods pendent. Leaflets glaucescent beneath.
