On open top of basalt boulders, facing east just above shore.
Notes:
Large rosette-forming plant with succulent, coriaceous agave-like leaves to c. 1 m long, these often entire in small young plants, in older plants spiny-leaved towards base. Old inflorescence on ground usually 5-6 m long, presumably with pendant or downward curving branches bearing shining ovoid bulbils (one aberrant branch near ground only).
