Abandoned plantation area, beneath high canopy of Cocos, Mangifera, etc.
Notes:
Clump-forming pachymorph bamboo; culms 4-5 m high, dark green, glaucous when young, at least below nodes. Culm sheaths concolorous, pale brown or greenish-brown; auricles low, blackish, ciliate (not with long bristles). Branches 3 or 4 primary ones from a node, one much larger, with a number of small secondary ones developing. Leaves ± distichous, glaucous beneath, sheaths with apical oral bristles. Presumably a cultivation relic.
