Notes:
Small dense tree or shrub c. 3 m high. Leaves with petioles purple and leaflets glaucescent beneath. Inflorescence dark red. Calyx c. 4 mm long, elliptic to elliptic-oblong, reddish with white margins. Petals c. 8 mm long, obcuneate or oblanceolate, deep rose in lower part, pale pink towards the reflexed apex. Stamens cream and < petals. Fruit to 10 cm long with ribs to 2.5 cm wide, narrowing to 1 mm wide at apex, glossy green.
