Notes:
Shrub c. 2 m high, straggling and in shade. Prickles very few. Leaflets glaucous beneath, pinkish-flushed when young. Flowers with reflexed calyx at anthesis. Petals crimson, deep, (single or semi-double flowers), to 2.5 x 2 cm, outer or primary whorl ± obovate; inner petals smaller and often white-streaked.
