Small tree, widespreading, c. 3 m high. Bark grey, ± horizontally banded. Leaves aromatic when bruised, glossy deep green above, undulate. Flowers fragrant, corolla white; tube 5-6 mm long, slender; lobes 2-3 mm long, linear. Fruit 2.2-2.8 x 1.3-1.8 cm, ± broad oblong ellipsoid, glossy dark green.
