Habitat:
Coastal forest with fairly dense, low canopy.
Notes:
Small tree 4-5 m high. Leaves subcoriaceous, dark glossy green above; midrib whitish; margins recurved. Flowers white; buds just before anthesis 8-9 mm long. Stamens to c. 1 cm long, many much less. Fairly common.
