Small tree 1-1.5 m high, with very stout, grey trunk. Branches rather short and the habit dense, ? because of very exposed site. Leaves coriaceous, dark shining green above. Fruit eventually black and bloomy, c. 9 x 8 mm, subglobose. Common.
