Notes:
Small, gnarled tree with stout trunk and canopy c. 5 m high. Young shoots flattened. Young leaves glossy reddish-brown above, pale brownish beneath, at maturity coriaceous, dark glossy green above. Fruit to c. 5 x 3.5 cm, ± broad ovoid, becoming red or greenish-red on shady side, depressed at apex. Locally fairly common.
