Notes:
Small tree 3-4 m high, trunk moderately stout. Young leaves glossy, reddish-purple when young, dark green above when mature and becoming coriaceous. Young shoots quadrangular. Young fruits c. 2.5 x 2 cm, ellipsoid-ovoid, shining deep green.
