Notes:
Tree c. 20 m or so high. Trunk stout; sap dark red; bark not collected. Leaves coriaceous, often curving, glaucous beneath, dark glossy green above. Fruit on older shoots 5x3.4-4.3 cm, subglobose or almost broad ellipsoid and round at ends, ferruginously tomentulose. Seed 3.3-3.4 x 2.2-2.4 cm, broad ellipsoid, with crimson fimbriate and lacerate aril enveloping seed.
