Valley bottom, among taro beds, raised bank.
Notes:
Rather small tree, c. 5-6 m high, but the original trunk had been cut and present stems were regrowths from stump. Bark smooth and brown. Leaf lamina white beneath. Female catkins ramiflorus or cauliflorus from near apex of stem, 7-13 cm long, grey, and 8-10 mm diameter, cylindric.
