Valley bottom, among taro beds, raised bank.
Notes:
Young tree c. 3 m high. Leaves white beneath on lamina. Male inflorescence near top of unbranched trunk. Sheath pinkish (lost). Male catkin pale yellow, (3.5)-4.5-5.5 cm long in small sample examined.
