Notes:
Large clump, rhizomatous. Leaves 77 x13 cm in typical one measured, ± upwards pointing; ligular sheath large; lamina dark glossy green above except for pale midrib. Inflorescence curving downwards. Flowers 5.5-6 cm long, curving forwards, waxy, shining, thick tepals which are white and pink (apex) except labellum. Lower tepal with 3 large triangular teeth; upper and two lateral tepals of inner whorl equal, the lateral ones imbricate. Labellum 4-4.5 cm long, rusty-red becoming yellow towards apex and margins, the upturned sides forming a deep trough.
