Notes:
Stem about 10cm high. Petioles to about 13cm long, subterete; sheath extending a little over half way. Lamina to 12 x 6cm, dark glossy green above with small greenish-grey patches along some veins, often directed downwards, otherwise horizontal. Peduncle < petioles, to about 6cm long. Spathe 5-6cm long, green, opening down one side only to expose the spadix but not expanding further so spathe remains partly enclosing spadix. Spadix about 4cm long; staminate part white. Carpels few at bottom. Fruit about 7cm diameter, almost globose, scarlet. Cultivated as `Elegans' (probably correctly).
