Notes:
Rhizomatous herb with short pseudostems. Leaves held erect or suberect; petioles to c.37cm long, terete. Petiole pulvinus to c.5cm long, indistinct (slightly different shade of green). Lamina to c.27 x 18cm, broad ovate, dark green above and with pale green crescent shaped areas towards margins and in patches near midrib; lower surface dark red (brighter when young) and with very bright green areas corresponding to the paler areas above.
