Habitat:
Old shrubbery, in partial overhang of high cypress canopy.
Notes:
Large thicket-forming deciduous shrub with tall slender stems 3-4m high. Leaves deep shining green above with impressed veins giving a bullate appearance, glaucescent beneath, becoming deep crimson or orange-red before abscission. Almost no sign of fruit left; an old one ± obovoid, c.1cm long. A number of spontaneous plants.
