Notes:
Rhizomatous herb forming a small stand. Leaf lamina more or less purple or purple-flushed green beneath, pale and dark green above, the latter especially towards margin; petiole purplish-green. Inflorescence erect, cone-like with the broad pale green bracts overlapping. Flowers white, 1.8-2cm long (i.e. to apex of petals and large staminode of inner whorl). Petals narrow. Style curved near apex bringing stigma up to face of large staminode.
